PairAlign values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit PairAlign, take a test, view a report, invite a partner, or submit feedback; why we use that information; with whom it may be shared; and how you can manage your data.
In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the PairAlign website and its operator.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
When you use PairAlign, you may voluntarily provide:
- Test answers, test progress, and completion time;
- A name, nickname, or other optional information used to generate a report;
- Information required to invite a partner or generate a two-person report;
- An email address, feedback, questions, and related details submitted through a feedback or contact form;
- Other information you choose to provide.
Some test answers may concern private emotional needs, relationship experiences, communication styles, and responses to conflict. We process this information only for the purposes described in this policy.
1.2 Technical information collected automatically
To operate the website, maintain security, and investigate technical problems, our servers may automatically record:
- IP address;
- User Agent, browser type, and browser version;
- Device type, operating system, and language settings;
- Access time, pages visited, referring pages, and request logs;
- Error logs, security logs, and unusual activity.
Server logs are mainly used to protect the website, troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse, and improve the service. They are not used to assess your personality or relationship status.
1.3 Information stored in your browser
To allow you to continue an unfinished test, PairAlign may use browser local storage, session storage, or necessary cookies to store:
- Unsubmitted test progress;
- Language and display preferences;
- Cookie and analytics consent choices;
- Information required for essential website functions.
This information is normally stored on your device. You can remove it through your browser settings, but doing so may prevent you from continuing a previously unfinished test.
2. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Calculate and generate personal test results and relationship reports;
- Generate partner compatibility analyses showing areas of compatibility, differences, and relationship suggestions;
- Store and display reports you choose to create;
- Restore unfinished test progress;
- Respond to feedback, questions, data requests, and service issues;
- Understand website usage and improve the user experience;
- Troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse, and maintain website security;
- Comply with applicable legal requirements.
We do not sell or rent your test answers, personal reports, or feedback. We do not use this content to provide personalized advertising.
PairAlign reports are generated automatically from your answers using predefined analysis rules. They are intended only for self-understanding and relationship discussion and do not produce legally binding decisions or other decisions with similarly significant effects.
3. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand overall website usage, including visitor numbers, page views, device types, traffic sources, and commonly used features. This helps us improve the website and investigate page-related problems.
Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar technologies to process:
- Randomly generated visitor identifiers;
- Device, browser, and operating-system information;
- Page views and interactions within the website;
- Referring pages and approximate geographic location;
- Visit time, engagement information, and page-performance data.
Google Analytics may access an IP address when data is collected and may use it to determine an approximate location. According to Google, GA4 does not log or store individual users’ complete IP addresses.
We do not intentionally send your name, email address, complete test answers, full report content, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.
Google’s processing of analytics information is also governed by Google’s own privacy policies and data-processing terms. You can reject analytics cookies through the cookie settings provided on our website. You may also use Google’s Analytics opt-out tools to limit analytics collection.
4. Cookies and Analytics Choices
PairAlign uses the following types of storage technology:
Essential storage
Essential storage is used to save test progress, language preferences, security status, and other information required for the website to function.
Disabling essential storage may prevent certain pages or test features from working correctly.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are used for Google Analytics traffic statistics and user-experience analysis.
Where applicable law requires prior consent, we will enable these analytics functions only after obtaining your consent.
You can accept or reject analytics cookies through the website’s cookie settings. Rejecting analytics cookies will not prevent you from taking a test or viewing a report.
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings, although doing so may remove unfinished test progress and saved preferences.
5. Test Reports and Shared Links
After you complete a test, PairAlign may generate a link that allows the report to be viewed. The link may contain a randomly generated report identifier.
Keep report links secure. Anyone who obtains a report link may be able to view the associated content, depending on the access settings of the report page.
Do not publish report links containing personal information or private relationship content on public websites, public groups, or other places where access cannot be controlled.
When you invite a partner or share a two-person report, some report content may be shown to the invited person or anyone who has access to the shared link.
Do not submit, enter, or publish another person’s personal information without their permission. PairAlign cannot control how recipients store, forward, or use report content that you choose to share.
6. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy.
- Unsubmitted test progress is generally stored in your browser until you submit the test, clear the data, or the browser removes it;
- Test answers and report data are stored for as long as needed to make the report available;
- Feedback and contact information are retained until the issue has been handled and are later deleted or anonymized after a reasonable record-retention period;
- Security and server logs are retained only for as long as necessary to troubleshoot problems, prevent misuse, and maintain security;
- Google Analytics data is processed according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics settings.
When information is no longer needed, we will delete it, anonymize it, or otherwise process it so that it can no longer reasonably be linked to a specific person.
Complete deletion may take additional time because of backups, system-security requirements, or legal obligations.
7. Sharing of Information
Except in the situations described below, we do not intentionally disclose your personal information to unrelated third parties.
7.1 Service providers
We may use hosting, network, security, data-storage, and website-analytics providers to help operate PairAlign.
These providers may process information only to the extent necessary to provide their services.
Our current third-party analytics service is Google Analytics.
7.2 Features you request
When you invite a partner, create a two-person report, or share a report link, we display the necessary information to the relevant person according to the action you requested.
7.3 Legal and safety requirements
We may disclose information when required by law or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with applicable law, court orders, or government requests;
- Investigate fraud, attacks, misuse, or other unlawful conduct;
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of PairAlign, its users, or other people;
- Maintain the security and stability of the website and its services.
8. International Data Processing
Google Analytics and other service providers may process data outside your country or region. Data-protection rules may differ between countries.
Where required by applicable law, we use service agreements, data-processing terms, standard contractual clauses, or other appropriate measures to protect data processed across borders.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including:
- Encrypting data during transmission;
- Limiting access to service data;
- Maintaining and monitoring system security;
- Reducing unnecessary data collection;
- Taking steps to prevent unauthorised access, modification, disclosure, or destruction.
However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
Do not enter unnecessary national identification numbers, bank-card details, precise home addresses, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in name, nickname, feedback, or other free-text fields.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on the law that applies where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold information relating to you;
- Request a copy of relevant information;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of test, report, or feedback data;
- Withdraw consent to non-essential cookies or analytics processing;
- Request restriction of or object to certain processing;
- Submit a complaint regarding the processing of personal information.
Because PairAlign does not require account registration, we may be unable to locate your test records using your name alone.
When requesting access to or deletion of a report, provide the report link, report identifier, submission time, or other information that may help us locate the relevant record.
To prevent unauthorised access to or deletion of data, we may need to verify your identity or confirm that you have authority over the relevant report.

11. Children and Minors
PairAlign is primarily intended for users who can independently understand the test content and this privacy information.
Where local law requires a minor to obtain consent from a parent or guardian before using this type of service, the minor should use PairAlign only after obtaining the required consent.
We discourage minors from submitting their real names, contact details, or other unnecessary personal information.
A parent or guardian who believes that a minor has submitted personal information without appropriate consent may request deletion through the contact form on the About PairAlign page.
12. Third-Party Links
PairAlign pages may contain links to third-party websites or services.
Those third parties have their own privacy policies and data-processing practices. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services.
Review the relevant third party’s privacy information before leaving PairAlign and using an external website or service.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, our data-processing practices, or legal requirements.
When the policy is updated, we will publish the new version on this page and revise the effective date.
Where a change materially affects your rights or the way your data is used, we will provide notice through the website or another appropriate method.
